A Turkish team in Balakot established a school for children. This was the first school put into operation in Balakot under a tent. The opening of the school was very much welcomed by the survivors of the affected people.

A Turkish team which is operating in the area is conducting a survey of the affected area and present a report to the government of Pakistan. The team was of the opinion that the greatest problem government was facing was the debris and dismantled buildings. It is being suggested that debris should be thrown in the river.
